A third generation Floridian, Megan grew up in Sarasota and was a varsity athlete in volleyball, basketball and track; she was named Florida Athlete of the Year in 2001. she received a full scholarship to play volleyball at Michigan State, helped the team to four NCAA tournament appearances, and was named to the All-Big 10 Academic Team four years in a row. After college, Megan began to compete on the beach, where she earned 10 Open wins and 10 championship appearances. She was ranked 13th in the nation three times from 2008-2009 and participated in the AVP celebrity match at Super Bowl XLIII, collaborating with ESPN The Magazine. Megan has been a guest on E! Entertainment for Sexiest Jobs in America and has competed against two-time gold medalists Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor.
