SPORTSFEST MEETS WV GAMES FOR THE SECOND YEAR

Charleston, W.Va. –For the second year, SportsFEST and WV GAMES are slotted to take place in conjunction on Magic Island, Aug. 16-17.

SportsFEST includes the Jet Ski Hyrdo-Turf National Championship and the EVP Pro Am Beach Championship. WV Games, the largest collection of sanctioned sporting events in West Virginia, includes events such as a cornhole tournament, crossfit, tabatabootcamp, slalom skateboarding, wrestling, Jiu Jitsu and the West Virginia Storm will be stunting and tumbling. In total, more than 400 professional athletes will compete this weekend.

Planners feel this is the perfect marriage of physical activities and free entertainment for those of all ages and levels of expertise.

Locals are invited to take part in the excitement by registering for some of the competitions or to come out and watch. Many of the competitions don’t just come with bragging rights, but the chance to win big cash or go up against a professional athlete, as well.

Events begin on Magic Island, Saturday, Aug. 16 at 8 a.m. with the WV Crossfit Challenge.
